Maimu Jõgeda is an accordionist whose music takes listeners down paths where they would want to stay for an endless amount of time, enjoying the beauty. The musician, with roots in Võru County, finds great interest and inspiration in traditional music. At some point, his own tradition began to resonate within him, which has now taken the form of two albums. Maimu Jõgeda's debut album "Pühendus" was released in 2017, and in May 2020, he released his second album "Millestki, mis..." ("The one about..."), where he encounters... Maimu her own compositions with Estonian bagpipe tunes, weaving them into a soothing and cohesive whole. The accordionist graduated from the Sibelius Academy, becoming the second Estonian to be part of the master's program Nordic Master in Folk Music. Maimu She has been nominated for the Best New Folk Artist category at the Estonian Traditional Music Awards in 2018 and 2020. For the past five years, the accordionist has lived in the Nordic countries, which is reflected in his new music.
